Karina Arroyo gives an important step in her objective to GO to the WEC in Malaysia next year. Although she still is in the Young Rider category, the Young rider make her debut in the seniors category on a 160 km competition.
Riding the mare HSK Nadjin, Karina got the fourth place(4ª) at International Avaré Cup (SP), the first competition of seven that will select the Brazilian team to the World Championship.The winner of this competition realized in the Brazilian National Day september 7 was André Vidiz with the stallion Moubarak Tawfik, Moubarak was the horse that Karina ran in Argentina during the Young Rider World Championship in 2007 and won the bronze medal with the Brazilian Team.
The Brazilian team Will be compound by six riders,and two reserves.According to the Brazilian National Federation (CBH) the riders Which want to be select to compounde the brazilian national team have to complet two FEI rides of 160 km, a least 10 % of the winner riding time.
To be able to participate of the selection program, Karina had to sacrifice her great results in the Young Rider category,actually she is the FEI number 2 in the world ranking
